CAL-ABOTA 2025 Trial Lawyer Of The Year
On Saturday, March 8, 2025, the CAL-ABOTA Board of Directors proudly selected John E. Sweeney of the Los Angeles Chapter as the 2025 Trial Lawyer of the Year. Since 1962, this award is recognized as the highest honor a California trial lawyer can receive, the CAL-ABOTA Trial Lawyer of the Year is awarded annually to a recipient exhibiting the best traits of a trial lawyer - excellence in advocacy, a distinguished career and a reputation for civility, ethics and fair play.

Los Angeles ABOTA is looking forward to hosting the 2025 LA-ABOTA Holiday Dinner and Auction on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at the Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles At Beverly Hills in Los Angeles. The evening will commence with a cocktail reception and silent auction at 6 p.m. followed by the dinner and program at 7 p.m. Registration is available for ABOTA members and their guests at a rate of $125.00 per attendee.
